OK, here's the very important diary entry. I'm back in England! Yes, that's right. I hurt my foot and decided instead of sitting about in America for four weeks, I'd come home and sit about here. It's a shame, because a) it hurts and b) I was really enjoying wrestling. However, there are wrestling schools in England but theyre not very good apparently. It's lucky I've been taught a lot of the basics by the best and I can improve on that. There's one quite close to Hertfordshire University, which is where I'm going in September and I'll hopefully be able to get there.
On a brighter note, Louise came to visit last week and we went to New York and spent loads of money! It was really cool, even though we didn't get to go up the Empire State Building or the Statue of Liberty. The viewing area of the Empire State building was closed, because there was 0 visibility at the top. However, we did go into the building and bought some pictures of it. The Statue of Liberty was closed, but I'm not sure why. We could have gone to the island, but instead decided not to because it seemed like a waste of money! So we took some pictures of it from the shore and some pictures of a wicked statue. I think it was an Eagle of something, but it was big and menacing!
Time Square was really cool. It's not really a square, more of a street with loads of shops like Toys "R" Us, Footlocker, WWE - The World, Macy's, Toys "R" Us, Virgin Megastore, Skechers, Quicksilver, Nike, and a big MacDonalds with flashing lights outside! It was really good fun. I bought some Skechers, a WWE T-Shirt pint glass and shot glass, a book, Nike Shox for my brother, a cuddly toy (no, I wasn't playing the Generation Game!) and more stuff that I can't remember! So that shopping took up Wednesday. We went to Planet Hollywood for dinner, which was cool. The Toys "R" Us had a 60 foot Ferris Wheel inside it! It was huge! Louise bought Simpsons monopoly and we played that loads. What?! It's great fun! So, in all, New York was amazing!
Back in ,Boston, we did some more shopping down Newbury Street. Apparently this is where Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez shop. Great. I bought a Quicksilver bag and went to have a drink in the Giorgio Armani bar (Which I later found out there are more of) But it seemed novel at the time! We went around taking photos of every available statue for some reason (Louise wanted to!), which was good because you could make some quite funny pictures with them ... You had to be there I guess ... In Boston Common, which is Boston's equivalent of Hyde Park I guess, there were loads of squirrels. Yes the annoying grey ones who came over to England and killed all of our red squirrels by eating all their food and stuff! But they were really tame. If you knelt down near one of them and held out your hand, it would run over within inches to see what was in it. But I didn't want to get bitten, so I didnt touch them! We went to see Adam Sandler's new film, Anger Management. It was really funny! On my last day (Sunday 12th April 2003) there was a Greek parade through the center of Boston. I think it was Greek Independence Day, but I didn't see any spaceships or Greece's version of Will Smith. What it basically meant, was that the Greek-Bostonian population danced through the streets and played really bad music. It was awful!
I was going to go and get pictures of Kowalski's, but the line was shut between Wellington and Oak Grove. Malden is in between them two. There was a bus apparently, but my foot was hurting so I didn't go. I really enjoyed every moment of my time at Kowalski's. I learnt so much cool stuff and everyone was really nice. I'll miss it there, but will hopefully go back someday. I don't know when, but some day. Until then though, I've got the memories. Thankyou to everyone there for helping me. I hope to see you all soon! It was a shame coming home, mixed emotions! It's good to be back, but bad not to be wrestling.
